Our ranch began in 2023 when John and Akela moved to Colorado and started life on a small 5-acre homestead. Akela’s parents, Vicki and Bayani, soon joined, and what began with a couple of dogs and horses quickly grew to include chickens, goats, and our first few cows. Before long, the cattle herd continued to grow. Today we proudly raise both Highland and Wagyu cattle...and now we even assist Santa with boarding reindeer!

 

In 2026, we moved the ranch to Franktown, where our main location has grown to 35 acres, while also managing another 100 acres in Douglas County and 200 acres in Lake County. The ranch has grown in more ways than just acreage and livestock. John and Akela welcomed twins in 2024, making family an even bigger part of what we do. Family is the reason we do this, and our faith in God is what keeps us going through every challenge and every new adventure.

God entrusted us to raise our incredible cattle, so our commitment is that each one of them are well taken care of and humanely raised in a nurturing environment.
